Knit and Crochet Design Week: Trees!

After two more sessions in the glass studio, the “trees” for my “meadow” are complete. I started on this crochet and blown glass project as part of Knit and Crochet Design Week back on March 12. I made the last of my trees yesterday.

Each treetop includes two different shades of green frit swirled together (like above), then blown into shape. Each trunk uses the same shade of brown.

The tallest tree stands about 14 inches high.

See my other posts in this series to see the meadow and trees from sketch to finish. And  check out Design Week host Stacey Trock‘s wrap up post to see what others created.
