In case you were wondering what the finished product looked like, here it is. The yellow swirl was a success. The shape, however, took a bit of a beating. The “knock off bench” is supposed to be where you knock the piece off of the punty, but in this case it also knocked things a bit off shape.
The moral of the story for me was to try to use yellow frit as an accent color rather than a solid. My first attempt blew out before I even got it this far. This time around, the color held heat more than I was expected and took on a new shape just before going into the annealer. I do like that yellow though!
